About us
I formed Steve Brookes Enterprises in 2010 as an umbrella company to cover the various, highly successful, separate areas in which I am involved – publishing, entertainment management and live & broadcast presenting. I have been involved with the media since 1993 and hence now have a wealth of contacts in the industry, which can prove extremely useful for our clients in moving their projects forward.
Our expertise in publishing comes from owning a mainstream, general book trade, publishing company for a number of years. We have now moved away from that side to concentrate on a more bespoke, vanity publishing service where we can allocate more time to the individual needs of our authors.
Being an actor and entertainer myself, organising entertainment for events was a natural progression and we can source and organise actors, musicians, singers, comedians for any style of event. We are also the management company for ‘Prof & Scoff’, whose live, historical cookery shows are a huge success.
The presenting side of the business is me! I have been a professional horticulturalist for over 30 years and a gardening presenter on BBC radio (and some TV!) for the past 18 years. I travel around the UK doing live gardening shows for events, gardening societies, WI groups etc, as well as travelling the world as a speaker on cruise ships for P&O, Fred Olsen & Saga. I present a weekly gardening show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire – every Sunday morning, 10am to 11.15am – with the lovely Mollie Green.
